OwnTheSkin is a marketplace where athletes list sponsorship spots on their body or kit for upcoming races, and brands claim them. Real skin in the game, literally.

Two paths. Athletes publish inventory. Brands claim a visible placement for a real race.

How it works

One marketplace. Two jobs. Three steps each.

  1. Create your athlete page

A public storefront for your next race — name, sport, and the event you are lining up.

  2. Choose body and kit spots

Mark skin placements and jersey, shorts, or sleeve slots. Set a price. Publish.

  3. Get sponsored for your next race

A brand claims the spot, uploads a logo, and you wear it on race day.

Questions

Practical answers while the marketplace is still early.

How does claiming a spot work?

You pick an available body or kit placement on an athlete’s event page and pay to hold it. If another brand later takes over that spot, you get a full refund. The athlete wears the current owner’s logo on race day.

Are spots sold for single races only?

Yes. Each listing is one athlete, one event, one spot. When the race is over, that inventory closes. The next race is a new listing.

What is the minimum sponsorship amount?

The platform floor is €500 per spot. Athletes can price higher. Body and kit slots can carry different prices on the same race.

What’s the difference between body and kit spots?

Body spots sit on skin — shoulders, arms, thighs, calves — more like a temporary tattoo. Kit spots sit on clothing: jersey, shorts, sleeves, back. Both show up on race-day footage; they just live on different surfaces.

Can I join before launch?

Yes. We’re onboarding the first athletes and brand partners now. Create an account and we’ll help you publish or claim by hand while the marketplace is still small.
